30% Staff Discount - Employee Purchases
We want you to enjoy all the products at MOM's. All of our staff members receive a 30% shopping discount starting on the first day of work. You'll get to try new foods and supplements. Not only will you feel healthier but also the more you use the products, the better you'll be able to talk to the customers about them.
MOM's University is a vast training course for all new employees. Throughout MOM's U, employees learn about our B.A.G., Purpose, Values, Brand Promise, company history, the definition of "organic", policies, procedures, organizational chart of company, etc.
Invest in your future. At age 21, after 1 year of employment (and a minimum of 1000 hours), you will become eligible for MOM's 401K
You can choose from traditional investment choices as well as socially responsible choices. MOM's will match 50% of the first 6% any employee contributes.
- Major Medical
Carefirst HMO open access is offered to our full time hourly employees after 1 year of service. MOM's covers the first 90% of the deductible and contributes 25% of the premium in the first year of coverage. On the employees second anniversary MOM's contributes 50%, year 3 is 75% and year 4 and beyond MOM's covers the premium 100%
Salaried employees become eligible after 90 days. The premium is covered by MOM's 100% and MOM's covers the first 90% of the deductible.
The Carefirst PPO plan is also available with a minimal payroll deduction if you choose.
- Limited Benefit Medical
Limited Benefit Medical Insurance is available to all employees not yet eligible for Major Medical Coverage. This voluntary benefit must be elected in the employees first 30 days of employment.
Dental Insurance is available to all full time employees. This voluntary benefit must be elected after 90 days of employment.
Gym Membership paid at 50%
Offered as a voluntary benefit at any of our selected gym locations.
Short Term Disability
This voluntary benefit is an affordable policy that covers you monetarily should you become sick or injured.
Universal Life and Term Life Insurance options are offered as voluntary benefits.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
MOM's believes it is important that employees manage a healthy balance between professional and personal lives recognizing time off is an important component of that balance. PTO combines vacation, personal and sick leave into one category so the employee can use their PTO as they see fit.
Hourly employees, after 2 years of service, will begin to accrue the equivalent of 2 average weeks of paid leave per year. After 4 years of service, the accrual rate increases to 3 average weeks of paid leave per year.
Salaried Employees (who are not eligible for overtime) will start immediately to accrue 10 days of paid leave in year 1 and 2, 15 days in year 3 and 4, and 20 days beginning in year 5.
Salaried employees are also eligible for comp time for hours worked in excess of target hours.
